HALF THE SKY!
I just returned from the CARE " Half the Sky" event and I cannot contain
myself. It was beautiful, uplifting and sometimes heart wrenching, but
such a wonderful effort on CARE's part to raise awareness about the
plight of half the upholders of our beautiful sky. I was
especially proud of the Duchess of York, when she repeatedly championed
the work of WRA!! Such an innovative method to raise awareness. It is
events like these that I predict will effectively get the ball rolling
towards shedding the light on the global plight of women , because it brings real
issues and stories to an audience that might otherwise be oblivious to
what is really happening to women globally.
