Policy and Advocacy
Me too
I attend Half the Sky Live showing in Boston on March 4th. I was dissapointed by the turn-out and the lack of advocacy outside the theater. I showed up early for the movie, thinking I would have trouble getting tickets. It turned out the theater was about 1/3 full. I received a notification from the grassroots organization One to attend the movie. I thought there would be attendance and 'voice' from One at the theater as well. In future events, I would also recommend a call for volunteers to create awareness outside the events could garner more support. I would have done my part if I knew.
