Luis Hines and Associates will begin offering monthly group sessions every third Saturday of the month for women hosted by Dr. Gwen Hines. These sessions will focus on a variety of women’s issues such as relationships, divorce, children, families, work-life balance, stress, anxiety, depression and so much more. The kick off event is free to the general public. The rate for the for following sessions is $30 per session and may be covered by your insurance policy. Today, Carline Morney spends her days in and around the earthquake-stricken capital of Haiti, helping expecting and young mothers to cope with the difficult situation. Friday, February 12, 2010 "Mèsi Bondye paske ou bann lavi ankò" It is 6 p.m. and the sun has just set, leaving behind a gentle trail of pink and orange. We are on our way back to the office, driving on a road that takes us past the now very common picture of broken homes and mountains of rubble of Port-au-Prince. Today is the last day of three days of official mourning, which explains the thousands of Haitians we've encountered on the streets chanting hymns and calling out slogans of hope and gratitude. ... Peter and I visited Haiti to understand the situation first-hand and offer support and guidance to CARE's response to the extensive humanitarian suffering caused by the January 12 earthquake. Come experience our first monthly Women’s Group Meeting kick-off event, Saturday, May 15, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Carol City, 21311 N.W. 34th Avenue, Miami, Florida ,33056. Firsthand experience with clients (especially women) and their struggles, triumphs has sparked an interest in creating a venue for all women in the community to come share, experience and receive support from those like themselves who can relate and best aide them. “As Clinical Director and Dr. Gwen Hines, COO, we saw fit that a Women’s Group would be a great asset not only to the women in LHA’s care but to the community as a whole. As a result women would be able to receive the support; encouragement and therapy they need to better themselves and reach the peak of helping others as well,” says Dr. Luis Hines, PhD.
