Notes from the Field
Today is CARE's National Day of Action - Send a Letter to the Next U. S. President, Show Him Americans Care Deeply About the World's Poor!
With the election just a few weeks away, wouldn’t it be great to see a debate between McCain and Obama focused on global poverty? Here’s the next best thing: a debate between high-level surrogates of the two campaigns that took place at CARE’s National Conference this past June. This highly engaging debate focuses on issues such as maternal health, climate change and foreign assistance.
Tonight, CARE staff will be live on the National Day of Action Blog, ready to talk with you about your views on foreign policy. And CARE supporters throughout the nation will be meeting up to watch the video. View events in your area! You can take action now. Send a letter to the next president of the United States here, urging him to make global health and poverty reduction a priority in his administration. For more information, watch this CNN interview on CARE's National Day of Action. What do you think the next president should focus on? What are we doing right or wrong in our foreign policy? What should our representatives do on the issue of global poverty? Share your thoughts!
