I've worked with CARE on various projects since 1995, including communications work from Niger during the 2005 food crisis and national media relations for CARE following the Indian Ocean tsunami and Hurricane Jeanne of 2004. My background is primarily in media relations, including positions with CARE, the national headquarters of the American Cancer Society and CNN. I have always loved other cultures and sought to understand and help others, as my mother suffered greatly as a child in France at the end of World War II.
